Our Objective
Brett envisioned Gun It not merely as a gym but as a community hub, empowering members to lead healthier, more adventurous lives through group fitness. However, she felt the gym’s branding needed a refresh to better reflect its values and attract more customers.
Our mission was clear: to transform Gun It Inc. into the premier fitness studio in the Ponoka community.
We aimed to craft a brand identity that resonated with existing members and potential customers, driving increased engagement and membership.
Our journey with Gun It Inc. began with an in-depth brand strategy session, during which we delved into the gym’s values, goals, target audience and competition. Through understanding her customers and competition, we gained valuable insights on where she stood in the marketplace against her competition. A customer survey provided invaluable feedback on the current membership satisfaction.
Our most significant findings were from the competitor analysis. We found that Brett and her gym provided a much more premium service than the other gyms in town.
Her blend of instruction and group training sets her apart from her competition, but she needed to communicate this clearly with potential clients.
We also realized that her current branding and visual assets required a refresh. The new look would help her promote her service with confidence.
The new logo is a simplified monogram G, constructed geometrically, with flared ends, adding an edge of personality. The G and barbell interlocking forms symbolize the strength gained in the gym and the benefits of hard work in everyday life. We felt the mark strongly represented her group of athletes and could instantly visualize them sporting the new badge proudly.
Following our collaboration, Gun It Inc. experienced significant growth and positive transformations:
• Membership increased from 82 to 104 during our 3-month engagement, representing a 22% growth. Substantial growth for business in a rural community with a total population of 6,500 people.
• Brett and her team gained confidence in presenting the brand publicly and engaging with the community
• Active participation on social media increased organic outreach, driving greater brand visibility and customer engagement
• Members proudly sported new merchandise, embodying the gym’s refreshed identity
